| shooter... this way we can stop to adjust, and not need to go back and forth to ram it... but, ramming is simpler.... and, KISS.... | |

| we can pretty much always ram the ball, like we can always defend the goal. I say we build maybe some sort of piston to propel the ball, and if it breaks, we can just push it | |

| if you make a shooter then you can score but of it fails you can go right to defense | |

| And it isn't very likely that the piston will break they are extremely sturdy | |

| i agree to go with both (back up plans for the win ) (that sounded better in my head) pistons are sturdy but danny is right (yes i do know little things) with basically any design we can push but to be accurate and have enough force to push the ball over the goal ramp also with the robot going up the ramp...hmmmm something we haveto think about if we just push a ball over the bumps(just in case) then we need to figure out a better "wheel idea" instead of plain wheels. one word...treds...i think that idea should be further looked at (if it hasnt already been so...i think it was) but yea ah... smilies | |

| i agree. treads will handle the bump better than wheels | |

| i like treads, too. but, on the chassis... i think we need to go longer than it is wide... this way we wont constantly flip as we go over the bump.... picture falling down an up escalator. same effect... | |

| yeah. because if it is width wise, it will keep on falling backwards while going up the bump, if not, then foreward while going down. | |

Experience with pneumatics in past years... ( never had an issue)

Yeah, exactly. If we choose an no mobility option though, we can defend very easy with width-wise design.
